Projects created in earlier beta-releases seem to have no problems in the latest release.

Total awesomeness that this project finally has been awoken from it's loooong sleep. Welcome to the new age eXT. To me you are still very relevant. Hope you stay awake!

20 years ago "damn time flies..." i was crazy about energyXT,perfect for my needs...i remember doing tons of skins for version 1,first ones being ugly and the last ones were a bit more functional hehe.I then stopped using it when i moved to 64bit windows and XT slowly dying.
A few days ago i was searching for an easy to use sequencer with basic functions,clear and minimal...Vst and stand-alone.
I tried a few ones and none worked for me,it's either a full bloated daw or plugins more on the side of experimentations and generative stuff,i then remembered Xt...why not try!?
I am glad i did,it is exactly what i need,using version 2,Vst version with JBridge works well for now,hopefully i don't get crashes with big projects but i plan on using Xt only for midi,nothing else.What is cool with the JBridge version is you can open the window outside the Host,more space to see the app,important for a sequencer.
Glad to see 64bit developement,keeping an eye on this,hopefully a Vst version is also coming.

You mean VST3?
Because VST2 is nicely supported.
I doubt that VST3 will be supported, now that CLAP has come around.
There were and still are reasons, why VST3 long time was not accepted neither by plugin developers nor by DAW makers.

I suspect they meant a plugin version (as opposed to the standalone)

New 1.0 beta is available
Beta 1.0 – 28-jan-2024
* VST3 support. Add folder in setup. First try, use at own risk
* custom theme/colors
* search in browser will shows file ext for plugins (dll, clap, vst3)
* double-click plugin in browser to add plugin to new track
* bugfix: click/pop sound when starting playback in the middle of samples with fade in time > 0 ms
* minor bug fixes
Seems I was wrong with my assumption, that VST3 would not make it into EXT64

Nice nice nice!
