With much help from @M1st (big thanks) I got it to work like this:
- Instrument layer to contain multiple instruments playing at the same time.
- Tool in the FX to be able to control the volume of the instrument layer.
- ADSR to control the attack for a fade up.
It works well as long as I have a gap between the notes. It also seem to be connected to how long the release is. With longer release I need a wider gap.
Is there a way to accomplish a reset of the ADSR (attack) on each note playing without adding a gap between the notes?
This is what it looks like. Red has no gap and fades up during the whole block. Green has a gap and reset the ADSR which is what I want in my case.
I found a workaround which is not very nice. If I use multiple instrument tracks it works like expected. But that would be very hard to work with.
ADSR reset when no note gap?

Adding a Bitwig ADSR envelope is monophonic, not polyphonic so would require multiple tracks. Each synth in your Instrument Layer will have a per voice amp envelope where you can set attack time. So instead of trying a Bitwig ADSR modulator, try a macro knob to control the attack time of each instruments amp envelope.
