The Sonuus G2M is a great match for Aspect, this is a little demo I put together of them working together with a looper.

I love the basses and the powerful modulation engine letting me assign all sorts of strange effects to pitch bend. The EP is based on the Ace Wurlitzer preset.

What do you think of the Sonuus2 G2 as a pickup? It seems like a decent price, but I've (likely due to my own poor guitar technique) struggled to get reliable accuracy and/or latency with most audio to midi converters.

The latency isn't bad but you have to keep it in mind when you're setting things up. Putting the sonuus through my midi sound module gave me nearly latency-free playback. In the video I'm playing through a looper and synth on my pc. The computer sound interface adds some latency and so does the software on the PC. Using a looper multiplies the problem because you end up playing to the rhythms of earlier recordings that already had latency. There're techniques for getting around these problems but I haven't taken the time to figure them out yet.

There are minor tracking issues too -- you have to play very cleanly because a slight touch of the pick on the string neighbouring the string you're playing could cause a midi note to play.

Overall I'd say that it's a great accessory and any guitarist who has some midi hardware to plug into should pick one up.

What do you call a good tracking? As somebody noted on this video response, it is off tempo, all parts including drums. I could not play in tempo with a simple slow rhythm because BEWARE this gadget has about 30 MS delay and MOST NOTABLY the delay is VARIABLE, i.e. it changes depending on the note pitch and what have you played half a second before. BTW this is the weakness of all pitch to midi converters including Axon, in spite of all marketing buzz. Laws of physics are irrefutable. You will hear the off tempo if you play 8th notes at 120 BPM or faster, that is really pathetic.
What you call minor tracking issues i.e. playing notes that one did not intend to play is a separate story not related to the delay and is a major hindrance for using this device.
