So we've gotten a lot of requests for a "Shreddage bass" type library. Who would be interested in this? Here's what the library would basically entail, based on what people have been requesting:
* Rock/metal-focused
* Musicman 5-string bass, eg. a Stingray, dropped to A
* Recorded DI
* Fingered + picked
* 8x RR
* 3x velo
* 4x RR Vibrato (also 3x velo)
* Hammeron/pulloff and portamento scripting
What do you think? We had no plans for something like this but again, we've gotten a lot of emails & comments, so I have to ask!
(Also, this would probably be about the same price range as Shreddage... $49-79.)

I was planning on getting Prominy SC for lead, and I found a bundle that includes SC and the SR5 bass for less than the MSRP of SC alone. The possibility of a Shreddage bass throws a wrench into those plans.
If you announce that you'll be working on a library for lead guitar as well, I'll end up completely ditching those plans.

Having used just about every rock guitar library out there...Shreddage is the best because it can be played FAST! I have the same issue with Prominy's bass library as i do with their guitar library...it only sounds good at about 130BPM 8th notes.
So YES! Please make a Shreddage Bass library! I compose at 170-200 BPM's with lots of 16th notes in the rhythm section and i would love it!

For those who don't have a bass library you can still use Shreddage or Shreddage X as bass. just pitch down the instrument by -12 semitones. This can be done by any pitch shifter in any DAW. Then use your favorite amp.
I am one of those who want Shreddage bass but for the time being that's what I use. Shreddage is easy when it comes to humanization compared to other libraries even bass ones, so yeah i prefer it over Prominy SR5 or Trilian. Plus less resources

Ha! I never tried that. Wow, very cool. I think our bass library would be a crossgrade for sure, BTW.
