Hey gang, anybody use an iPad as a midi controller with orange tree's eeg or eag (or a similar keyswitch/articulated sample library)? I'm thinking about giving it a whirl... I have no doubt the iPad would be nifty for synths, I'm just curious how it wold be for something like EAG that uses the mod wheel, keyswitches and the like.

Just to toss some options out there that I'm going to try tonight:

I already own ThumbJam, which is a pretty awesome iOS app. It can act as a midi controller via DSMI or OSC:

ThumbJam is pretty nifty in that vibrato/tremolo can be controlled via shaking the ipad, pitchbend via tilting, etc.

Polychord looks to be a pretty cool. Its chord circle buttons send MIDI on channel 1, and the strum keys send MIDI on channel 2, so it may interface nicely with EAG/EEG

Hexachrome uses an unusual hexagonal touch layout that allows some interesting interval options:

ANYHOO... I'm going to give at least a few of these a try tonight and see if I can get them to 1) successfully interface with Logic 9 and 2) make something remotely musical/interesting with EAG!
