Love Evolution Steel Strings, though I'm still getting the hang of the rhythm component!
So far I've been doing some custom strum palette stuff for a rhythm guitar track in Pro Tools 9: alternating between Downstrokes and Upstrokes by alternating on C and C# on my keyboard. I'm not much of a keyboard player, so I have my chords already sequenced out for the whole song, that way I only have to worry about playing the two aforementioned strum keys on my MIDI keyboard in real time.
All the downstroke/upstroke stuff has been working just great so far, but for some reason, when I try to virtually strum an F# Major chord [2nd fret on the Low E string, 4th fret on the D string, and 2nd fret on the B string], I cannot get that C# on the B string to play on the upstroke! I'll get those two F# sharp notes on the E and D strings, but nothing on the B string.
I know the chord variation is set correctly, so it's not a mod wheel issue, and I don't have the Upstroke strum keyswitch set to a palm muted strum or anything. Also I've set the upstroke 'Starting' to "highest" so it shouldn't be skipping that C# note on the B string. Not having this issue on any other chords I've sequenced out, but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here and just not realizing it!
Hopefully that made at least some sense! Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Also I'll be happy to clarify my issue if needed--brain is fried now
