Hi,

I want to use KnobMan in Mac OS X.
Is it released in Mac in the future?

hi, I have asked to the moderator of the Development-forum about the Example thread. but the SkinMan thread and original KnobMan thread may be too old. I am willing to ask if these threads are helpful.

Unfortunately, I have no plan about MAC. but the WebApp version is available.
http://www.g200kg.com/en/webknobman/index.html
That may be of some help.

Could we possibly get this as the icon?
It is your work + anti-aliasing.
I have tried to change the icon, but Vista won't let me.
I am legitimate user of AWicons, where I have modded ur image.
Cheers and thanks-KM is indispensable

hi,
Is that about the associated icon of the '.knob' files?
unfortunately, MS disabled the 'File Type' icon custmization on Vista or later.

but there seems be some tools for that.

Links I have found:

hmm,
it is the icon of the KnobMan .exe .
The icon shows on my system(Vista) with aliasing in black around the edges.
It is np really, but I am kinda fussy.

g200kg, I think nix808 says that perhaps you should pack KnobMan.exe with several different sizes of program icon, so that Vista and W7 can use higher resolution icon for displaying KnobMan on desktop etc.

oops Surprised nix808, EvilDragon
I see.

I could not understand the difference of the current icon and new icon.
(because of Windows system caching Embarassed )

I will use the icon you sent in the next release Smile
and one more thing if possible, could you add the 256x256 size image instead of 230x230. Vista/7 will use 256x256 in extra large view I think.

Thank you!!

First to say: I like Knobman and Skinman very much!

Then the problems:
1. Knobman likes to crash when doing several: add layer / duplicate layer / delete layer actions.
2. Knobman is becoming very slow when using inside shadows on several objects. Is it possible to optimize this code?

What I would like to have in Knobman is an object +/- combination mode like in Skinman (or a shape editor that is a little more versatile in designing shapes with cutouts / handling several shapes in layers)

hello WOK,

about Crash:
I am aware of crash but still cannot make certain reproduce. may be related to the 'Shape' layer.

Performance:
I'll think about the optimize of the shadow algo (especially the diffusing shadow, right?)

object combination is enticing yet not so easy. challenges of the future.
(current shape editor can do cutouts or combine several parts using 'New path' button)

I'm not a Mac user, however I think you should really think about porting this to Mac.

Steve from Hollow Sun REALLY likes your tool (he thinks you should be charging for it!), but he's using a Mac, and running Knobman via a virtual machine works ok, except one important thing - "Image" layers do not actually import any images...

He also finds the WebKnobMan not good performance-wise, and not yet the same functionality.

Here is the updated icon with 256 instead of 230pixels.
Let me know if any problems.
I would certainly pay for the license, if u decide to do that.
Knobman is stellar for me.

Would GDI help EvilDragon?

First of all a congrats for your new forum. I must say that Skinman has really helped me a lot when it comes to both plugin and album cover designs. All my albums available on different stores is made with Skinman.
