Ueberschall has released BPM 120 - Beat & Percussion Module, featuring a 2.4 GB Drum and Percussion library paired with their innovative ULP engine.
BPM 120 provides a large stylistic bandwidth of authentic drum and percussion styles: from Funk, House, Soul, Disco, Pop, Rock, Beat, DnB, 2Step, BigBeat through Electro, Metal, Real Drums, Breakbeat, Analog Drums, Vinyl Loops up to Latin-, African- and World Percussion. The acoustic and electronic drum and percussion loops were played live or programmed, depending on the style, by professional studio musicians.
Quick creation of variations and high levels of adaptability and combination of these loops are made possible, simply and at high quality, thanks to the ULP engine: The circular waveform presentation (Loopeye) sensibly visualizes the transition of loop start and end. In combination with the slidable start and end markers on the outer ring, new variations can be created in just seconds. Loops no longer have fixed start and end points. By combining single segments of different drum loops you can create innumerable variations.
All loops are presented at the basic tempo of 120 BPM. Thanks to the MPEX2 algorithms from Prosoniq (Timefactory), the loops can be adapted to your own songs. The sounds remain crystal clear and don't possess any of the usual grain artifacts. Tempo changes are possible in the range of +-60 BPM (60-240 BPM) at high quality.
The sounds can be optimally matched in frequency through the filter section, directly integrated in the Plug-in (up to 72 dB filter).
To ensure the greatest flexibility, hihat/cymbal and bass drum/snare/toms loop versions are also presented separately. By combining the different loops countless variants can be created. As bonus material, BPM 120 contains complete single drum samples which were used in the drum and percussion loops. With them the existing loops can be further varied.
BPM120 is available as VST, AU and RTAS plug-ins for Windows and Mac OS 9/X and cost $199.95 USD / 199 EUR.
