Wrong video I suppose :D.
And really, your text reads like one big exaggeration. "They" is probably just one tiny developer, and if you need 18 months to redo the filter and envelopes in SynthEdit, it means that either you spent only 5 or 10 minutes per day on it (amounting to two days of work), or that you are not very efficient and good at what you are doing.
