Tascam announces the end of GigaStudio development

Via an email to its sound developers TEAC America / Tascam has announced that it has ceased development of GigaStudio and GigaStudio related products (i.e. GVI, GigaViolin, GigaPulse, ...).

A recent email to GIGA sound developers stated:

Dear Sound Developers:

TEAC America wishes to make you aware of a recent corporate decision:

TEAC America, Inc. will cease further development of GIGASTUDIO and GIGASTUDIO related products as of July 21, 2008. Product sales and technical support will continue through the end of the year.

TEAC America will continue to honor its existing contracts with sound developers through the end of the year.

All of Tascam's software products have been moved to the legacy section of their web site.
