Ignite Amps has announced the release of version 1.1 of NRR-1 and version 1.0.1 of TS-999. Both plug-ins are freeware and are available for Windows and Mac OS X in VST and AU formats.

NRR-1 is a digital emulation of a three channels tube preamplifier for guitar. It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, built for Fleshgod Apocalypse guitarist Cristiano Trionfera by Ignite Amps, back in 2009.

The NRR-1 core circuit is mainly based on a famous boutique preamplifier made in '88, modded to suit Cristiano's needs in the best possible way.

Features:

  • Dynamic 12AX7 / ECC83 coupled triode stages analog modeling.
  • Three channels: clean, rhythm and lead, each with fully separated controls.
  • Mono / Stereo processing support.
  • Selectable oversampling rate (up to 8x).
  • Global input / output level controls.
  • Double precision (64 bit) floating point mathematical model.
  • Fully automatable controls.

Changes in Version 1.1.0:

  • Added Mac VST and AU versions (32 bit).
  • Improved triode model accuracy for AC signals.
  • Improved interstage circuits behaviour during grid current flow.
  • Improved DC coupled cathode follower model.
  • Improved stability for bypassed cathode stages.
  • Improved logarithmic potentiometers behaviour.
  • Reduced CPU usage.
  • Memory deallocation bug fixed.
  • Minor bugs fixed.

TS-999 “SubScreamer” is a digital emulation of an overdrive pedal for guitar. It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, built for Subhuman guitarists Matteo Buti and Elia Murgia by Ignite Amps in 2010.

The TS-999 core circuit is inspired by the most famous green “808” overdrive pedal, with additional features to increase its versatility. It can easily add dirt and bite to clean guitar tones, as well as make the amplifier distortion sound tighter, more focused and more responsive to picking, avoiding low-end muddiness and high-end fizz.

Every single component on the signal path of the real analog circuit has been taken into account and modeled in the best possible way to match the original sound, keeping an eye to CPU performances and real-time playability at the same time.

TS-999 is meant to be used as an overdrive pedal for live playing, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support.

Main Features:

  • Dynamic 2N3904 BJT input and output buffers analog modeling.
  • Dynamic 1N4148 diode clipping circuit analog modeling.
  • Op-amp saturation analog modeling.
  • Symmetric / Asymmetric clipping mode.
  • Normal / Fat bass response mode.
  • Mono / Stereo processing support.
  • Switchable Input and Output Buffer modeling to decrease CPU usage.
  • Selectable oversampling rate (up to 8x).
  • Variable Input Level control for better response to different pickups.
  • Double precision (64 bit) floating point mathematical model.
  • Fully automatable controls.
  • Zero latency.

Changes in v1.0.1:

  • Added Mac VST and AU versions (32 bit).
  • Added Op-Amp saturation modeling.
  • Improved model stability for very high input signals.
  • Reduced CPU usage.
  • Removed output fade-in after oversampling changes.
  • Memory deallocation bug fixed.
  • Minor bugs fixed.
