It reads the audio input into a buffer, and when it receives a MIDI note, plays back the contents of the buffer at the pitch of the note. Checking the Freeze Buffer parameter will stop the plugin reading audio into its buffer while the MIDI note is held, giving the familiar 'stuck buffer' effect.
Note that this is not an 'alpha-version' but a finished plugin.
