it's actually not that bad. there are a lot of wurly models and i've played maybe five of them. it doesn't sound like a 200a but it approaches some other models.

that's why they called it "V" right? it's a non-existent "kind of similar" thing.

the 200a is all about the pre and tremolo anyway.

i don't hear any of that in the demo.

It takes a lot to impress us these days

My initial experience was rather inspiring. Disappointing, actually. Lots of overly processed - and yes, artificial - sounds that in no way bettered my old stand-bye Lounge Lizard. In fact, they sounded worse.

Until I stumbled on the GT Vibro Wurli presets, and my mind changed entirely. This is a traditional, dry sound that I immediately fell in love with. Warm, intimate and playable - just what I look for in a Wurli.

I then began to tweak and explore, and found out just how far you can take the basic tones.

Interestingly, I actually found that presets obscure the fact that this generates some excellent classic tones. Most importantly, I dropped them into some tracks and they sit wonderfully.

I have to say I'm very tempted.

Blue Reeds is the Wurlitzer PM standard. I doubt the Pianoteq or Arturia Wurlies come anywhere near it.

I have never heard real Wurli's (apart from records)so cannot comment on how close it is to the original.

thanks for your interest in the Wurlitzer V.
We developed this product using and comparing with several original Wurlitzer pianos and also the competition (Pianoteq, Scarbee..). We are still interested in any constructive feedback.

It would be great if this had some kind of modulation matrix. I would like to be able to link velocity to the hammer hardness, and aftertouch to the vibrato rate and depth. It's surprising Arturia didn't go anywhere like that with this given that they usually go the extra mile with the recent plugins giving all sorts of extra surprised to make things more fun (and musical).

Speaking of that, does anyone know why Efflam quit selling these? I did beta for the Rectifuzz and sampled some snippets of my TS9 for him. Kind of bummed I never had a chance to get the rest of the collection.

Hey, I just downloaded the demo version of this.

Does anyone know if it's supposed to have all the presets available? If I run it in DEMO MODE, it only enables a handful and quits after a short while - I got an activation key with the download, but when I try to activate it in the eLicenser, it gives me "this code has already been used"...so I have to use it in DEMO MODE. Someone tell me if this is correct?

I thought it would work fully features for 15 days, I would like to tryout all the presets at least.

All the presets seem to exist on my hard drive, in the factory library folder (Mac OSX).
