again, you need to define that term. actually windows updates happen frequently and most of them are major security updates. what windows doesn't get every month is new features - which firefox does. in fact between vista and 7 try to identify the new features which aren't merely slight adjustments of existing ones.

Well, it's no different to firefox.
It's just built using SSE3 optimisation and with some of the useless components (like developer features) removed.
Otherwise it's straight firefox code.

If anything it's more likely to be secure than firefox, as the more features you have, the more loopholes people can find to exploit...

So, we've gone 11 "version" updates in about 16 months.

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed to death but what have we gained from this?

A new version sounds better than a patch.

Some strange folks entered that community. Nobody is software industry do what they do.

I'm leaving firefox as soon as my 3.6 stop working on too many places.

I'd recommend using Pale Moon browser. It's a modified version of Firefox.. without the memory leaks and other nonsense.

thanks for that info, might try it.

For me it's the same ol'. Mostly, FF just works. As into all the music toys as I am, I couldn't care less about anything web wise other than it getting me point a to b... which FF does much better than IE for example. Hated chrome, hate IE.

Now it is firefox 21! (will update as needed!)
