In an effort to rationalize the number of synths available, NOVAkILL has announced the Generation X VST instrument plugin range. Generation X synths should be able to reproduce any sound from any earlier models as they are being designed specifically to combine all the features and elements of older instruments into NOVAkILL's current NOVA-II skinned architecture.
That means that NOVAkILL will no longer have a large range of similarly spec'd instruments as the Gen X plugins will replace as many as three current synths each. Here's how it will work:
EGOkILLER IV will replace EGOkILLER, iDkILLER and LOVEkILLER by having the combined features of these instruments. FEARkILLER III will combine all the features of the original with those of kARMAkILLER. GODkILLER III will differ from the original by using the same oscillators as NEOkILLER, giving it a distinctive sound in comparison to the other Gen X synths. HOPEkILLER II will complete the range with a significant list of new and improved features.
All Gen X synth swill include improved functionality and new features to make them among the most sophisticated free instruments available. EGOkILLER IV and FEARkILLER III will be available later this month with the others following in May 2005.
