In my case:

Gladiator
M42, M51
Atomic
Rhino

and a lot more.

Post

Hypersonic 2 (synth capabilities combined with rom samples and internal fx. Extremely low CPU as well, discontinued software :( )
Oatmeal (People just don't appreciate this thing despite it being a known thing around here.)
farbrausch V2 (full 3-osc synth, and uses next to NOTHING CPU.)

Post

Definitly:
Ohm Force Symptohm
Sugar Bytes Unique
QuikQuak Glass Viper
Ableton Operator

Post

I agree about Rhino, and the symptohm:melohman is pretty nice (but I am not sure if people do not know about that?).

Post

OhmForce: Symptohm Melohman
Tone2: Gladiator
Big Tick: Rhino
Ableton: Operator
Ableton: Analog
NuSofting: Eve2
NuSofting: Modelonia
U-He: Filterscape VA and Podolski
WNA: ZeroVector

I don't know about underestimated, but I think ZynaddsubFX is still the best sounding VSTi out there. And it's free!

+1 but a pain in the ass to program.

Discodsp Discovery
Rob Papen Blue
Image-line Toxic BioHazard
Image-line Poizone (Very good beginnner synth with a huge sound).

All of these are excellent synths and deserve more credit :hail:

:D

How can you possibly say that that Vanguard, one of the most overused softsynths in history, is underestimated? It's sound is actually pretty limited and outdated.

Post

Limited if you use the preset banks, yes. But you can get more out of it if you tweak the knobs :D

CM101 is definitly an underestimated plugin. Same goes for JX220.
Best regards from Johan Brodd.

What on earth is Podolski??? It's not on the u-he site

My 2c:
Cobalt -- very good 80's style synth for mere $25
DreamStation DXi -- one of the best freeware bread &butter synths around
Antti's Augur, ASynth and Taurus

Post

Arguru's Voyager. Ugly interface, amazing sound.
