The scrooo

Post

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have updated the scrooo to version 1.1.0.

What's new:
  • added 64 bit version
  • improved internal processing architecture
  • double precision audio processing
  • polyphony increased from 32 to 64 voices
  • added File Management dialog
  • refactored UI
Cheers, Björn

This one has always been my favorite of yours!

Can we have the old GUI? The new one is meh, looks like the default JUCE GUI but with different colors.

There's definitely no JUCE in the scrooo. ;-)
Maybe I'll add some skinning support later... like I did for Ragnarök v1.1.0.

Cheers Björn

Yeah, I know that, been following you from the start , but damme, it looks just like that :D
No offence, just my 2c.

Oh, that's OK, no problem. :-)
Actually you are the first one that ever asked for my old skins.
I always lived under the impression that people don't like 'em! :hihi:

Well, everything is relative :hihi:
Skinning support is nice if people can't live with default GUI, in case of scroo it wasn't perfect but not bad either, so there's no need to butcher it with ResHacker or make it flat as a pancake.

It would be nice.
I'm currently making my own skin for Ragnarok... A look a bit special, futuristic and very luminous. It's not yet ended but here is a part...

And of course I'd like to make something in the same style for the Scrooo which has always been one of my favorites (with all the other plugins you've made)
:phones:
In fact... even for Nabla and for Deputy (which are in my top ten for long a time and will probably remain forever in my top ten) I'd be happy to play around to make skins in that style...
Build your life everyday as if you would live for a thousand years. Marvel at the Life everyday as if you would die tomorrow.
I'm now severely diseased since September 2018.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but due to popular (*cough, cough*) demand I have uploaded a video where I try to explain how the scrooo works:

That's actually a very helpful/informative video that raised my interest in the Scrooo. Thank you :tu:

What oscilloscope did you use there btw, is that a third party plugin or did you code it by/for yourself?

One of the true unique sounding synths that I own. Amazes me that it was free.
