This is a very late answer, sorry, you may have found out in the meantime, but maybe others are wondering, too, about ADM. About Bass station i can't say anything.
CM and Beat Versions are different. Main differences are Drum Kits/Patches/Patterns, but also versions. Beat version is older (1.2.2.1) from 10/2012, even from Beat #121. Latest CM Version is 1.3.3.1 from 10/2014, from CM #227 . I only installed 32-Bit-Windows versions.
The latest CM version stores its data (skins,samples etc) in a user directory, the older CM (same data as the latest, 1.2.2.1 from 03/2012) and Beat versions do store their data where the dll is (which I prefer for some reasons).
While the old CM and Beat versions of ADM are .fxp/.fxb compatible, the new CM isn't anymore.
So I keep the old versions in their respected folders.
Latest version of non-magware ADM is 1.3.3.3.
