[This was posted in another thread, but after posting I realized it might get more attention and hopefully I'll get more help if it's on its own. Mods, if I'm wrong, please accept my apology and delete it if you need to.]
For some reason Dagger has become "unverified" after 7 months of use so now it's back to demo mode. Also, when I click "Buy Dagger", it does nothing; there's no connecting to the internet, just completely idle. Thinking back, I've had that same type of issue when I got V-Station and Bass Station through a third-party; I wasn't able to reach the internet when I clinked the link on the plug-ins so I was unable to verify and get the full version to work. In the end, with some help from online research and a few forum replies, I sorted it out and both Novation VSTis work perfectly. I can't, for the life of me, remember what I had to do to fix the problem however...
So I believe that is where the problem lies: for some reason it isn't allow the connection to the internet to verify that it has been purchased so it stays in demo mode. What I do not understand is that it has had no problems like this in the past, since I activated the full mode of Dagger 7 months ago it has worked flawlessly. In fact, I played with Dagger yesterday for over 3 hours before it suddenly, out of the blue, for no apparent reason reverted back to demo mode and has been there ever since. I wrote to the developer yesterday afternoon and haven't received a response yet - which is not surprising considering it is the weekend - but, as much as love Beep Street's products (I have both Dagger and Sunrizer), their customer service has been somewhat lacking and I'm a bit unhappy about it. For example, I wrote to Beep Street over a week ago to ask a question about Sunrizer and have still not received a reply. I did, however, get a reply here on KVR within a matter of hours. Kind of disappointing to be honest, though it makes me appreciate KVR that much more! I'm going to give the B.S. the benefit of the doubt however as I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for the lack in communication, but I do hope that they chime in soon if someone here can't assist me with a solution...
Can anyone help? Offer suggestions? Point me in the right direction? Anyone have this issue with a Beep Street plug, or even a non-Beep Street VST?
I'm using FL Studio 12.3 32-bit on Windows 8.1 64-bit. Running as administrator, in compatibility mode for Win 8.1

Tried in Image Line's Minihost Modular 32-Bit and having the same problem. Perhaps it's an Image-Line thing? I'm going to attempt to open in all of the free non-Image Line hosts that I can find and see if I get the same error message. I'm determined to figure this out today!
I'm still very open to any and all help from KVRians! Thanks in advance!

One thing to note is that I am able to click the "Help" link in Dagger and it goes to Beep Street's website with no problem at all so it throws off the the whole "it's not connecting to the internet" idea and makes this problem that much more confusing!

I had the same problem some time ago with Dagger (mac). Sorry I can't recall how I fixed it, but at least you know it could be a problem with the plugin. Perhaps post a comment on the BeepStreet discussion board...I too have been frustrated by the lack of response over email.

Thanks for your post, db3. I admit I take some comfort in what you wrote.db3 wrote:I had the same problem some time ago with Dagger (mac). I'm going to take your advice and post my OP over in the Beep Street corner and see what happens. Thanks again!

Had activation issues with dagger from day 1.
Emailed with the dev, he couldn´t help.
Somehow I did get it to work but it was disgusting.
Having tons of original softthings from many companies -
never had problems like this.

You're just lucky you even got a reply from the dev.
It's been an extremely long time since I emailed support at Beep Street and I STILL haven't received a reply.
But anyway, yes I agree 100%! It's ridiculous!

The database has this listed as serial number copy protection. Does it actually require an active internet connection to 'phone home' all the time?

I didn't think that Dagger (or Sunrizer) required a net connect 24/7, and as I mentioned in my OP, for approximately 7 months it didn't need one. This change came suddenly, out of the blue, and now it appears that it's looking for an internet connection (that it currently has) but can't seem to find for whatever reason.
So, to answer your question: no it shouldn't require one once you've activated Dagger, but there's a chance you may run into a problem like mine, connection or not.

Could this be related to a recent Windows 10 Anniversary update? Immediately after I installed the update, several plugs de-activated.
