You import your cut ".wav" samples in there and create the instrument.

That's a shame. A sampler that can actually sample would have been cool.

Yeah, don't know if it's cool to put a link here but if you google "Gearslutz Perfect Drums" the guy from Naughty Seal is responding to questions directly. I can tell you that as of now,the player is really aimed at people who already bought the full version which makes no sense to me but he explains it. I seem to remember though that because people have asked for at least one kit to demo and he plans on doing that.
Hope this helps

EDIT! I just found one of their posts as of 23hrs ago that states,"We are finishing the DEMO kit for ya. Will be ready tomorrow I believe."
He also said he rendered some dry audio demos with no FX and almost no room and reverb for those who asked and will
upload supposedly today.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info and link dblock.

Only three dynamic layers? (Yes, you can pick the velocity ranges, but even so.)

Nothing in the manual explaining how to set up a CC4-controlled hi-hat, so presumably "open" and "closed" are all it supports. :(

Hi guys!
We have made a DEMO kit for you to try in the PD Player. You can download it following the link below:
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/thep ... 1_DEMO.zip

Just unzip it and open the containing ".pdpk" file in PD Player using the "Load Player Kit" command in the Kit Designer menu.
PD Player can be downloaded here:
http://theperfectdrums.com/pdplayer

So, the kit itself is one of the Perfect Drums preset kits. It has 8 instruments: kick, snare, rack tom, floor tom, hihat, ride, and 2 crashes.
All instruments have only 2 roundrobins per dynamic layer as a part of DEMO limitation. The full version has 8 roundrobins per dynamic layer.

Secondly. I've rendered the dry kit for those who asked. Find it below:
https://soundcloud.com/theperfectdrums/drykitdemo

It's the Perfect Kit 1 preset with just close mics + a tiny bit of OH and ROOM. It has no reverb, nor fx sample groups. And of course no post processing. Enjoy!

Find the demo kit above ;)

No CC yet. But it will be there in the nearest update. The number of dynamic layers will be expanded as well. We have set it to 3, to make it more RAM friendly for an initial release.

We decided to not invent the wheel implementing the audio recording and editing features, you can already find in countless specialized software applications.

Yes, same as Peter,
I was about to ask that questions. 3 velocities just not enough for a flagship product.
And of course more hihat articulations are needed also.

I've seen the video and heard the soundcloud. It looks pretty and sounds great!
But the demo tracks all really too tooo too wet! for me.
And the Ride is also too ringy to my ears.
Is the sampler have the self-choke feature to prevent too many overlapped samples sounding?

Another question, Is the factory samples already processed (eq, comp, etc)??
Any info or availablr library that has a pure "just the recorded" samples with zero pre/post process?

Will going to download the demo and give it a test,
Thanks!
