Modartt Pianoteq 6 and Sonarworks Reference 4 long loading times

If I use Pianoteq 6 in combination with Reference 4 as VSTs in a DAW, Pianoteq has a very long loading time (~ 20 sec) and changing presets happens very delayed. It doesn't play a role if Reference is on or off. If I remove Reference, Pianoteq loads in no time and changing presets has no delay.
By the way the same happens with Arturia's Piano V2. But with no other plugins I use in combination with Reference.
Can somebody reproduce this situation?
I'm on Win10 and the problem consists with the plugin versions in DAWs. For me with Live 10 and Cubase 10.5. There consists no such a problem with standalone Pianoteq and Reference systemwide application.
Thanks for reading.

Confirming on Cubase 10.5, REAPER 6, all latest builds. Windows 10 18362.
Issue exists on both 64-bit VST2 and VST3 versions of Pianoteq. Did not test x86 (don't have them installed).
Using Sonarworks 4.4.3 build 2.
Observations:
1. CPU usage jumps for several seconds when switching Pianoteq presets. Cubase freezes, REAPER lets you hit the notes and they light up red until the preset loads.
2. It does not matter where Reference plugin is in the project, it can be in Monitor FX, Control Room, an insert on a track, etc..
3. It does not matter if Reference Systemwide is enabled or the app is loaded or not.
