This is going to be a fun one :wheee:
Question, in the case of modulair, it comes with a modulair fx version, would that be ok to use if I go with modulair? As it has effects that wouldn't be normally allowed, but it could be considered like an extension or part of the synth.

Any thoughts on this?

I'm pretty sure in the past, if there has been an additional FX version of the synth, that has been allowed -- it's giving you the same effects the synth does already, just letting you use more of them. I would definitely see no problem with this.

So, who has the balls to make a track with “Bucket Pops”? :D

“Ragnarök” was the first OSC i ever took part, without really knowing what to do with synthesis and sound design. That hasn’t gotten significantly better over the years, so I’m really interested in trying something with his really simple synths like MPS, Stigma or Tricent, freeing me from the burden of doing sound design. :ud:

Agreed. I remember this came up for Surge, and it was allowed.

Bucket Pops or bust, babee. I don't think it's a matter of balls so much as a reckless disregard for practicality. I've been taken with the idea of a Bucket Pops OSC since its release, and I see a free choice as an opportunity to choose an oddball synth that probably won't have a OSC all to itself.

Since Modulair now supports MTS-ESP, and we can use commercial effects, I'm certainly going to use ModulAir and the demo of MTS-ESP suite to control it. It's time for some modular tuning modulation mayhem!

otherwise i definitely would have gone for MPS... or Bucket Pops.

Throw a delay on it and it's great at ambient soundscapes and drones. :tu:

I'm thinking about participating this month, but I might be tight on time. Just wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a synth that wasn't too difficult to learn, but with solid sound possibilities. Thanks!

The Furys: Mono/Fury and Fury-800 are both pretty easy, modeled after simple and well thought out synths from the 80s. PROTIP: you can use the filter resonance 100% trick with Mono/Fury to get a pitch down, like you might want to use for a kick drum.

I take it that I shouldn't read too much into "You may use any ONE Full Bucket Music analog OSC friendly synthesizer."

Unless there are some Full Bucket synths that are not OSC friendly?

MPS - the nicest tiny synth available. Minimal options, but does offer broad palette of timbres.

Speaking of Full Bucket effects, wouldn't it be cool, if we could use the FBVC vocoder this round. I know, it's an effect that severely alters the sound of a synth. But if both carrier and modulator come from the same synth, and with it being a Full Bucket plugin, it would be on topic in my opinion. I just love vocoding pads with drums.
What do you think? Should it be allowed?
