It looks really nice. Even has 8 layers that can be split to different key zones.
Could be an issue though with WUP and installers; Seems more like a cheap gateway into WUP and COSMOS.

I never understood why people think they have to do WUP. I never did it.VitaminD wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 4:37 pm Could be an issue though with WUP and installers; Seems more like a cheap gateway into WUP and COSMOS.
I don't use Macs with changing CPU architectures and all that though.

I always see some people complaining and whining about Waves all of the time, about WUP etc.
All I know is that the same Waves plugins that I first used more than 20 years ago still work great to this day, as Waves keeps all of their stuff up to date, unlike many other devs. I use many Waves plugins in my music, along with a ton of other stuff too.
I like to know that plugins that I am buying will still be supported in decades from now.
I don't know anything about this sampler yet, but I saw the quick video about it, and it looks interesting. I will obviously be getting it, especially at the price it's currently at. I'll probably head over to Waves in a few minutes and grab it.

Are you asking a question or really just making a statement?chk071 wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 4:41 pmI never understood why people think they have to do WUP. Well, should I ask you why you think that you have to do WUP? Should this end in one of those never ending discussions about WUP and Waves business model again?
From my point of view, the answer is no to that. So, I won't ask you the question.
Unless you're on Mac, or desperately need to have a bigger GUI on your 4K screen, there isn't a compelling reason to HAVE to do WUP anyway.

yes, you don't understand it because you've never had to deal with it. If you had, you'd probably be upset that all the plugins you purchased are no long usable.

I'm confused. You ask questions then say you won't ask the question.chk071 wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:03 pm Well, should I ask you why you think that you have to do WUP? Should this end in one of those never ending discussions about WUP and Waves business model again?

There are reasons, but to you they might not be compelling. Not everything has to become a debate or argument.

I actually answered the questions.VitaminD wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:11 pm I'm confused. You ask questions then say you won't ask the question.
I'm curious now though. What is your compelling reason that you think that you have to do WUP?From my point of view, the answer is no to that.

Yes, You've already shown your hand. I care not to get into circular arguments with you or anyone else. It would be a waste of time.chk071 wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:13 pmI actually answered the questions.VitaminD wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 5:11 pm I'm confused. We both know you're only going to attempt to thrash the position I, or anyone else to the contrary, hold to your own opinions. Instead of trying to be a help, you want to tear down. So there is nothing to gain for me getting into further.
Let's just focus on this little sampler in question instead please. Have you tried it yet?

I think it's pretty clear from my posts that I have an opinion about it, but, I surely wouldn't have thrashed yours.
Your decision, of course, whether you want to share your reasons or not.
Hope you realize that it wasn't me who brought the WUP thing into play though.
