Okay, sounds great and I downloaded the demo (just to make sure it works in my DAW) but when I pull it up it says waiting for bridge. So I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do. Obviously, I'm missing something.

Well, when you pull what up which side?

The procedure is as follows for a sanity check:
- Launch DevOcean modular
- Launch your DAW
- Load the DevOcean bridge plugin on a DAW instrument track
- Write any random MIDI
- In DevOcean load e.g. Synth Starter patch from the Factory Oceans
- Turn on the engine in DevOcean
- Press play in the DAW

Okay, I'm getting somewhere but I think I'm missing one more piece.

I launched the standalone. I pulled up a preset. Then I loaded the vst into my DAW and now it says connected. But there doesn't seem to be anyway to get the standalone to respond to my MIDI controller. I set up my audio device but I don't see a MIDI controller setup. So when I go back to my DAW, though it says connected, I can't get it to generate the sound of the preset I selected.

What step am I missing? I'm on Cubase 15.

I think we need a quick video to demonstrate, its not complex but I can see how it can be confusing for a first step, prioritizing this standby

- My guess is you took a patch that simply is not using DAW connection modules. Try "Synth Starter" patch.

Okay, here's the $64,000 question. I don't think I'm going to like the answer.

O see that in order for this to work, the app has to be open. Once you close it, what you recorded in your DAW doesn't make sound anymore.

So...what if I have a project with 6 instances of this thing? If you can only 1 app open and only 1 preset loaded, how do you create a song using multiple patches?
