Ebow Freebie Instrument
You read the thread title right--we've put together a fun little ebow patch for you to play around with.
This is an 8-string electric guitar recorded with an ebow to create a rich pad sound. The instrument includes a built-in delay and convolution reverb effect, although we encourage you to hook it up to your own effects plugins, too. Run it through some soft distortion, a guitar cabinet simulator, maybe some light chorus to add stereo depth... think of all the possibilities! Don't forget to add in a little pitch bend or mess with the mod wheel--you can get some horrific cinematic sounds. If that's not your bag of popcorn, reduce the reverb and use it as a pedal steel guitar playing swells behind a country ballad.
