I have just released my second set for Serum:

Image

All wavetables in this set are created from scratch, either by resynthesizing acoustic instruments, vocals, percussion, hardware synthesizers and sounds derived from organic and inorganic materials like wood, metal, plastic and glass or by creating wavetables and single cycle waveforms in Serum’s own editor.
34 wav-samples were produced especially for this set including cinematic soundscapes and drones, abstract and atonal textures and acoustic percussion sounds.

Complex modulation routings enable the user to deeply interact with the sounds, often totally changing a patch at the turn of a Macro. Tabula Rasa contains a wide range of expressive sounds ranging from ambient drones and warm pads to dark and gloomy textures to cinematic impacts and sound effects to futuristic and new age-sequences to beautiful plucks and bell sounds to expressive leads, deep basses and edgy stabs.

You can view/download the PDF for this set including the licence agreement, more info and a detalled patchlist here.

Specs:
  • *104 patches (75.9 MB)
    *34 samples (44.1 Khz/24 Bit/stereo) - 313 MB
*All patches have Velocity, Modwheel and four Macros assigned, most patches also use Aftertouch
    *114 wavetables (50 MB)
    *42 LFO shapes
    *Library size: 458,2 MB installed
    *Delivery: Download
    *Price (paypal): € 30 EUR
All demos were produced entirely with Serum using only patches from Tabula Rasa, no post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the outputs and some volume automation, if several instances of Serum were used in a track. Only one demo uses external reverb processing, as mentioned in the track title.

Admittedly I like all your work, Simon.
But this set sounds especially good.

Great skills :)

A jingle for a Chinese Ceramic factory! It is very very very important to use the best quality sounds when selling Ceramics from China, they have a proud traditions stretching back a long long long time, even before apple mac computers were invented I think.. no maybe not that long but before Logic was called Creator by C-Lab and the Atari was the platform of choice... Ancient times indeed !

This patch uses a wavetabled bass clarinet, the demo was jammed live adding layers in several passes while tweaking the Macros and the Modwheel:

Ever since the release of Alchemistry Metallurgy I am receiving entertaining spam mails from China, companies which are trying to sell me copper, nickel, raw steel and other metallic substances, so I am hoping for a ceramic manufacturer to chime in to get into some serious business :)

Here is a video demo for the patch Planetary, somehow the waveform animation in Osc B got stuck during the shooting, but the sound was happening.

Two fresh Serum patches - a rich warm pad and an expressive flutish lead, all involved wavetables were created from bassflute samples which I sampled yesterday.

Here come a fresh demo track for the patch "Christmas Box" combining a long textural processed music box sample (I played a music box found on a flee market, moving it around on a crash cymbal while playing, so the cymbal would create metallic resonances, then melodyned/retuned and granulated that texture) with a wavetabled music box and the Sub-Osc.

Merry Christmas to all Serumist, in case you're into Christmas.

Two fresh Serum patches in this rather surreal and dark demo track:
