Yeah, you're kind of missing the point a bit you know. If you didn't, at least, record it, it doesn't count.Numanoid wrote:I played the following on my piano keyboard, quite liked it, but didn't record it, now it is yours to flog![]()

Well, feel free to start a thread about that then. Just sayin, you don't like it when people are off topic in other threads. A few jokes are fine, but, you are a bit off topic and, well, frankly, you need to up the funny, you know?Numanoid wrote:Recording is boring if you ask me, it just freezes a moment in time, takes away all the fluditiy

I'm not a super stickler about being on topic, but, well, you know. tnx.Numanoid wrote:OK, didn't realize it was your thread.ghettosynth wrote:Well, feel free to start a thread about that then. Uplifting trance:
- 80% JP6K synth
- 10% Sylenth1
- 10% 3xosc
Design the sounds the way you want them and spread them out on various channels. Put in some notes. Add drums, FX and a selection of EQ, Compressors, Reverb and delay. Press start and let it run for about 5 minutes. If it sounds good it's ready to Serve.
Enjoy!

I made some music today and I used 5/4 time and a weird swing setting in Maschine.
Mlem Blar
And also:
1: Three Sisters self-oscillating and self-FMing, Ornament & Crime, Sputnik QVCFA, REFO_D, TB Equalizer. (Yup, that's a filter on FM synthesis duty.)
2: Synchrodyne Expand, Warps, Ornament & Crime, Sputnik QVCFA.
3: Serum & Valhalla Plate.
4: Disting mk4, Mini-Slew, Sputnik QVCFA, MTransformer.
Barricade, MTransformer, PianoVerb2 on the mix.

ADD2:
Omnisphere.
Came up with something on the guitar, needed a beat as reference, put a drone on top. Not sure if it will be Irish flavoured, or Indian....

Soliloquy
The sequence: I used Maschine pads to improvise a cross-section of the "Japanese mode" scale. Took my short riffs, transposed and superimposed them on the same monophonic voice, used one of those as a repeated motif and added some other similar bits in between.
My modular, articulated by my new Rampage, sound source mostly Tides AMing Warps. Lots of subtle and chaotic modulation going on from dropping the Disting's wavetable VCO by 12 octaves.
A couple of FX sends (in hardware and software) to create a floaty trippy afterimage. The first was Echobode, sidechain compression against the main part, Uhbik tremolo, ValhallaPlate, SerumFX detuning and compression. The second one was Freez (via the Rampage late-triggering the System X Envelope) and Dubstation 2.
Recorded two takes of the sequence to get different modulation variation, and panned them a little off each other in post-production.
