Hi ! I am young, but I know that hearing can change with time.

For example, someone of 40 years old may be limited to 13-14khz.

I tried to simulate hf hearing loss with white noise filtered :

https://www.audiocheck.net/blindtests_f ... php?frq=13 (https://www.audiocheck.net/blindtests_frequency.php?frq=13)

Here, I make a BIG BIG difference between the filtered (at 13kz) and the unfiltered version.

So, my question is : do someone with a limit at 13khz will not be able to hear anything over 13khz, really like on the filtered noise I linked ?

Other question : is it difficult to mix with such limitations ?

dont worry about it - there are zillions of people mixing with "old people hearing". What hearing loss normally means is loss of sensitivity to particular frequencies - like an eq nudging down a few dB rather than a brickwall filter. Of course as you get older that gets to be more dB nudging down. But protect your ears by not listening to loud noise for long periods of time. In fact I would say never listen to loud noise, but plenty of people do
