Hello Dave !

I have tested the demo of Limitless again. When I disable OpenGL, the CPU consumption of Reaper (64 bits, Windows 8.1) goes from 18.6 % to 4.5% during playback with the UI displayed (and it is always low without the UI). That's perfect this way !

Just one thing to report. I know that I need to restart the plug-in for this change to be applied. However, when I have just changed the option (clicked on Disable for OpenGL), the whole UI becomes black. Maybe the change should really be done only at startup ?

Just noticed that you guys have implemented Presonuses plugin extension when I was automating some parameters in your plugins. Great stuff!

Seems like the possibilities are Limitless.
limitless is a much better mastering limiter than L1.. by a huge margin. I have no doubt FF will come back with proL V2 one day, but right now, ozone 7 and limitless are the best two plugin mastering limiters money can buy. (IMO)

Pro L was a refreshing experience in it's day as it took things up a notch again from say L2, Sonnox etc. But now it's way behind (imo). Why spend 179 on something so dated when you have a fresh, EXCELLENT sounding brand new product for peanuts more?
Now that a serious recommendation, I have a need for a limiter and think although for my uses it might be overkill, it's nice that it has the power and depth to grow with me. It'll be mine later to day, a save by spending strategy you know?
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

I have a ton of limiters, both hardware and software and own most of the DMG products.

IMHO this is DMGs best product.
Well conceived and designed and unlike some software compressor/limiters, translates to the final mix on rendering, something that doesn't always occur with software.

Wow, tried various combinations of bx_Xl v2, L316, Elephant, Pro-L, FG-X but Limitless beat them all in clarity. The clipping section adds the last bit of 'sexy' crunch, really nice. Overall it's easy to overdo though when you're not careful because it can be very subtle and fool the ear to get away with 'a little bit more', so A/B ing is a must for me. And can I say, the copy protection: Super user friendly! Outstanding product. Bought. :tu:

Probably yes. Better yet, I'd pop up a box advising you to restart the session. Still, this is a workable quick fix! :)

It is well worth the price if you do professional work.
There are other excellent limiters but Limitless is one of the better ones.

Hey All,

After receiving lots of bug reports, we've rolled back to version 1.51 of Equilibrium on the website, there's some OpenGL bugs still. Dave's fixed them but we need to test the fixes, new version will appear in the week.

If you're having graphics issues, roll back here :

Limitless has been my go to mastering limiter for projects in the pas month, great stuff.

But pitchfunk needs some love too Dave and Krzysztof. Will you guys be implementing a better/higher quality pitch algorithm? The current algorithms don't sound great to me to be honest. Please give it some love :D !

Edit: I don't like the artifacts that the pitch shifter creates when pitching up and down too.

Edit 2: Just a request/suggestion. Would it be possible to create a record player type of pitch algorithm? Where if you were to pitch down, the audio would also slow down. Then when the pitch is pitched back to neutral, the audio would speed back up into the normal position of the audio. Exactly how dblue glitch and effectrix handles pitch shifting. It'll be a great add to create some turntable scratch effects.

Maybe keep PitchFunk requests out of the Limitless thread?

I'm getting an explosive sound out of this plugin. I'm just a hobbyist, but the difference Limitless makes on my masters is huge. I was also a fan of Fabfilter Pro-L when I demoed it. I'd have to have them side by side to say for sure which one is better, but I suspect that Limitless would emerge as the winnner!
