TBProAudio has released DSEQ 2.0, a dynamic equalizer working in the frequency domain. DSEQ is removing digital harshness on the fly thanks to self-adjusting frequency bands.
DSEQ now offers smart A.I. functions to set up DSEQ even easier.

DSEQ can be used in all mix and master situations:
  • de-essing vocals
  • taming resonances in e.g. drum, guitar, vocal recordings
  • removing digital harshness
  • balancing the mix
  • de-masking frequency regions
  • support of pink noise mixing/mastering

I've lost count how many times I installed an update for this plugin :P

Thank you for all the hard work for keeping up improving your plugins.
Much appreciated!

Just a few clicks to update (if you need/want the new features). I could count them for you :D

Congrats, Ultra 3 sounds so good!

The jump in quality from ultra 2 to 3 is very audible, I wonder what an Ultra 4 would sound like if it's even possible :o .

We will try Ultra 4, but we think Ultra 3 is the end of the story. The quality mode impacts directly the FFT length and therefore the latency of attack and release.

Release early, release often... Probably the most agile plugin developer on the planet :hihi:

What are your thoughts on a min-phase version? To avoid a pre-echo...

Thanks.

DSEQ uses EQs with very high slope to dim resonances. Min phase filter would create large phase shifts, which would totally destroy the sound. So, no real option

... ah, the pre-ringing of LP filters: well, avoid taming directly the transients (low attack rates),use a lower GR factor and finally avoid high gain reductions.

+1, if DSEQ has to do much work, you've screwed up somewhere and probably shouldn't attempt to fix it with DSEQ :)
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.
