Now that Amplitube 5 is coming soon, it's time to consider new products and who knows, maybe IKM wants to hear from us

Post

I was torn between The Edge and David Gilmour. There's nothing special about the gear for anyone that doesn't exist other than some obscure pedals for Gilmour and the Edge. Don't really like U2 that much, but some of the pedals he used are still missing from sims. Gilmour's strat would be an interesting IR overlay.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I voted Hetfield, but I'd also be down for Tom Morello and Dan Auerbach collections.

I got the Edge Collection. It's called: ValhallaDelay.

So much this. I'd also like to see a newer full EQ Top Boost AC-30 and a Matchless DC-30. I use the Brit Collection Red Pig probably more than any other amp in Amplitube.

I don’t mean to pee on your parade here, but this is a pretty dumb topic.

Any officially certified collection, either with an artist or manufacturer, requires a branding agreement. So it’s not up to IK. It’s up to whoever holds the brand rights and whether or not they want to play ball. Don't you think they'd already have official EVH if they could?

Furthermore, you can already do just about every artist listed with existing gear. There are even presets in AmpliTube for most of the artists in the list. And most of them only have one sound anyways.

Check out the “Misc” menu under AmpliTube 4 presets and you’ll find the Edge and Eddie Van Halen presets that are historically accurate rigs, right down to Eddie’s speaker configuration.

There are James Hetfield/Metallica presets in the Mesa Boogie collection, just add the Tubescreamer model and JC-120 from the Dimebag collection and you’re complete. Do a search in the preset browser, start typing “Metallica” and see what you’re left with.

And for David Gilmour, use the Hi-Watt, Big Muff, and Electric Mistress models, and the treble booster from Brian May. There’s no Binson Echorec model, but any tape delay or the Memoryman will suffice. Throw in the Wah 46 and the occasional Leslie 147 cab and you’re pretty much set.

For Jimmy Page, use the JH Gold and the Supro model (it’s what he used in the studio.)

As for Mark Knopfler, sorry, you can’t digitally model fingers (they’re already digits. :P )

I agree with you, that's why so many voted for Justin Bieber :hihi:

However, you could probably say the same for Satriani and they did it anyway.
Hiwatt is one of the oldest models so it would benefit from a fresh update. Selmer amp for the Syd era would be nice to.
There is still a lot of old stuff to improve, amps and stomps since the cabs are done now.

Well with Satriani, he, like Slash and Brian May, does have his own signature amp that was modeled.

Totally agree about the Hiwatt. The model is incomplete until channel bridging is modeled, like the JH Gold and Red Pig. Selmer would of course be very welcome too.

And I also would like to see many of the old stomps and amps updated to a higher degree of accuracy. A lot of the stomps don't quite match the parameters of the hardware. And many of the AmpliTube 2 era amps don't even have the same controls as the hardware. It would be great to see all of that updated. But, that's not really IK's philosophy. Instead they'll sell you yet another remodeled remodel of an old model in the Custom Shop, while leaving the old models in AmpliTube to water it down so that few users will ever know which version is the good one, and just assume everything in AmpliTube sucks.

Keith Richards Amplitube Collection that would include some Stones' early days amps and pedals that Keith used.

- Harmony H306 (four inputs, six tubes, 12" Jensen speaker, built-in tremolo)
- Gibson Power Plus amp
- Fender "Double" Showman (two channels, 85-watt, 2x 12"/15" JBL Speakers, four 6L6 tubes)
- Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone pedal
- Vox UL760 Hybrid Amp (60-watt, two channels, vibrato, a top-boost switch, reverb, onboard fuzz, two KT-88 power tubes, ECC83)
- Vox Supreme (100-watt solid-state, two channels, MRB rocker switch, tremolo, reverb, fuzz)
- Vox V846 Wah-Wah pedal
- Philips 3302 cassette recorder (to catch that lofi vibe of Street Fighting Man)

Just to name a few...

Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

I like the Richards and Morello ideas too.
