G395a

Hi!

Here New - Old Jam G395a!

It was (and still it is) an early 70s discrete/Class A 3-Band EQ with selectable mid and fixed hi/lo frequencies. Vintage transformer models on both the inputs and outputs.

In digital world, we have auto-gain compensation, now! EQ moves won't affect gain of signal instead tone!

And also, oversampling will make it smoother!

Features

- LOW: fixed 60 Hz +/- 15 dB in 3 dB steps

- HIGH: fixed 10 kHz +/- 15 dB in 3 dB steps

- MIDS: 700 Hz - 1 - 1.4 - 2 - 3 kHz with 0 to 8 dB gain 2 dB steps

- PLUGIN LABEL (Bottom right): Bypass button. It's red and when you click it to bypass plugin, it will turn to white.

- ANALOG OBSESSION LOGO: Oversampling. It will turn to red when oversampling is engaged. Also, show you a notification.

***You will notice plugin's file is named as "GGGGa". But you will see it in DAW as "G305a".

Available Formats

VST/VST3/AU | Mac 10.9 - 11.X

VST/VST3 | Windows 7 - 8 - 10

VERSION 1.1 - 20.4.2021

- Added gain compensated input drive option

VERSION 1.0 - 15.4.2021

Hi Tunca, congratulations for the release. The GUI is gorgeous. I am going to test it now. Where do you recommend to use it?

Ok, this one is already beating some of my well paid plugins for vocals and acoustic guitar. I love the sound and the limited options, it forces you to commit to a sound. I only miss input and output volume knobs. It would mess up the GUI, but maybe two little knobs at the bottom? The other thing would be a high pass filter, but I understand that it was not in the original eq (Although if you plan to model some of its brothers or cousins, maybe you could try this one that has filters: https://www.ebay.es/itm/Vintage-Siemens ... 3806789141). Anyway, great work Tunca, great work Johannes!

A lovely gem here...sounds delicious i must say!

And the AutoGain is an awsome addition , should be available as an option in all plug-ins.

Many thanks for this one!

Hey all!

Thanks for your interest and words!

Also, update coming tomorrow. Just added compensated input drive (-24 to +24 dB) to feed and get saturation or get less color.

Also, there will be dual mono/mid-side version of this eq with 0.5dB steps in the future. It will be mastering edition.

Thanks!

Hi

Just installed the update 1.1 , but when i look in 'components' (Mac) it still says 1.0.0 and also when i check the version inside logic it says 1.0.0 .

But it now has a input drive know , which i belive was not there in the initial version.

BUT , holy shit , do i love the sound of this one 💚

I got to this through this review. I really love the low end of this plugin
