I believe that Cubase is number one for midi.
It has the most midi features.
For a free midi sequencer try Temper

Stand alone and VST.
All the DAW’s have failed to properly implement VST (actually VSTi) midi fx.
Besides being found in the instrument rack they should also be found along
with the MFX and the proprietary midi fx for the sake of work flow.

8. Can you in fact get multiple controller lanes up in one window? If so I stand corrected. I've seen a lot of people state this same thing, though.TheoM wrote:you've lost me here... before i even go further, can i ask the last version of logic you used? Tempo mapping is not per se the same thing as warping the timeline to fit the music.TheoM wrote:LawrenceF wrote:That is indeed a nice function. It's also interesting to me that as much as these products occasionally rip good ideas from each other, I've yet to see anyone rip that one. Then via Time Warp (tracks all set to linear time) I drag a barline to a meaningful downbeat and discover tempi here.
If I had a "10 things to rip from Cubase" list, that one would be on there somewhere.
logic has that.. it does it identically to cubase, tempo mapping.
I know Samplitude does this the same way.

You see the vertical line there meeting the first note in ms. 30; before this operation that note was early as per the bars, now the tempo is recalculated (from 59.187 to 59.928).

FL Studio is the Piano-Roll Queen, and she can surely
piano and roll.
