Studio One - our 1+1 results in the 2-iest of 2s! Not like those other jerks.

Please tell me the folks who write the software at least had the grace to demean the author of that blog post behind his back. :dog:

Surely there must be consensus by now...

I always thought logic sounds best :D
S1 has the best workflow for me, fast and efficient. I mean setting clip fades in logic is a pain in the a** for example...

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

My inner John Cage agrees with you. Nothing sounds better than nothing. The sheer purity of nothingness ensures infinite gain with infinite signal-to-noise across the infinite bandwidth. Just wish it didn't take so long to download the demo. Maybe next lifetime. :hihi:
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

I can't tell if it sounds better because it keeps crashing, that is when it actually loads. It chokes on the same laptop that runs Reaper with Diva just fine. It showed 100% CPU use playing the first note of the default patch in Diva, then crashed. I hear it is so stable but so far that is definitely not my experience. Is there some minimum machine it needs to run on? I have a core duo with 2GB so it should meet the minimum requirements, but of course that isn't ideal. I hear how nice it it but I can't get it to run properly, where Reaper is really smooth, even when running Diva (albeit in draft).

Dude! I mean, seriously, DUDE! Stop complaining about such minor things - now will you?
It sounds BETTER! And that's it!
At Presonus, they finally reinvented the wheel, put Newton and any other mathematician or physician to shame - and you even DARE to complain about crashes? That is just ridiculous! As if crashes would be anything to write home about when you get that pristine, way superior sound quality. Didn't you read the news that all of Michael Jacksons albums will be mixed again (heck, they will even be recorded again!) just because they sound so bad, compared to what can be done in Studio One? You need a reality check, my son!
