I tried looking for this on the forum, and despite finding some relevant info, Chordspace doesn't seem to do anything at all in Cubase SX. So, Nuffink or someone, I'm wondering:
Does Chordspace work in Cubase SX?
Does Chordspace work in Cubase SX?

Hey, thanks man. That comp didn't work, though.
I take it it's supposed to be:
MIDI track 1 = Chordspace Out
MIDI Track 2 = Chordspace In, Synth Out?

It's from SX3 I believe.bduffy wrote:Hey, thanks man. That comp didn't work, though.

The routing is
MIDI track 1 = All in,Chordspace Out
MIDI Track 2 = Chordspace In, Synth Out
Most important...Select both midi tracks.

OK! Yeah, that works fine, thanks for the help.
So I see how this works: you have just a few control notes that play each group (root, relative Min, etc). Are all the hexagons just there for you to click on to hear different chord variations?

No. You can assign any of the 226 ChordSpace chords to one of eight midi keys. If you click where it says "Hex #" all should become clear.bduffy wrote:OK! Yeah, that works fine, thanks for the help.

Thanks, Nuffink. I decided I had to check it out after reading so many posts from you.nuffink wrote:No. You can assign any of the 226 ChordSpace chords to one of eight midi keys. If you click where it says "Hex #" all should become clear.bduffy wrote:OK! Yeah, that works fine, thanks for the help.

I'm not sure if I get the purpose of this though...

Press the record button and click around until you find a progression you like or...bduffy wrote: I'm not sure if I get the purpose of this though...
Assign the chords of that progression to your keyboard for more expressive, velocity sensitive playing.
It's a tin pan alley way of writing songs. First find your chord progression...

Wouldn't you know right after I posted that, I started putting together a nice chord progression...nuffink wrote:Press the record button and click around until you find a progression you like or...bduffy wrote: I'm not sure if I get the purpose of this though...

Great program, well done. I look forward to getting to know it.
For some reason, I'm getting clicks on the notes in Cubase SX 2, but not on the Nuendo station...must be my setup.
Thanks.
