Yes would be good.John-E34 wrote:A BIGGER GUI is the ONLY change needed for me to hand over the cash...
Also it still needs better preset management. Whenever I load a user preset and click next it navigates to the next factory preset which is a pain. And you still can't see your own presets (as it only shows presets saved in FL plugin format but the VSTi won't save in that format!)

what's new in 2.6.5?

Sytrus needs a complete overhaul not only some small changes under the hood. New and bigger GUI, some modern features (like a arp/step sequencer), a better preset management etc.

+1
Sytrus sounds sooo good, by I almost don't use it beacuse:
- Partially unreadable (at least impractical for quick working) GUI at my 1400x1050 laptop resolution
Not so important for me, but still bad:
- Awkward preset management
- I don't understand those multi-envelopes for the arps. A simple arp or step-sequencer would be nice.
OK, we can't have everything, still its a versatile and crystal clear sounding synth.

Have you seen this?- I don't understand those multi-envelopes for the arps. A simple arp or step-sequencer would be nice.

Ah, thanks, have overlooked that. Well, honestly, up to now because of the small GUI Sytrus didn't invite me to much to in-depth editing.

Some tips:
-When you use "create sequence" to create a sequence under the volume window, you define the order in which notes in a chord will arpeggiate.

-If you use "create sequence" in the pitch window, you define the notes that will play, relative to the notes that you are playing. This is really only useful for monosynth kind of patches unless you have the mind of Bach (I don't).
So I use the vol window to play a chord that arpeggiates, and the pitch window for basslines.
sometimes
Lastly, in addition to adjusting all the levels (slopes in the graphic window), you can tie notes together, too, in the top white check boxes by clicking on them:

In case IL is watching this thread, v2.6.5 isn't accepting my .reg file.
