Hidden gem:
SideminderZL: mono-izes the bass range, and also automatically narrows overly-wide stereo (automatically fixing most of the minor stereo phase correlation issues I tend to get, or at least indicating that I have bigger problems)
Maybe not that hidden:
MAGC: the classic use is automatically correcting for gain changes so you can tell if a plugin really makes things sound better or just louder. But you can kind of abuse it too -- put it after delays/reverbs while it monitors the dry signal, for instance.
MSED: I do a lot of mid/side stuff in modular where I process the same signal two different ways. I could convert it in a Bitwig Grid patch but this is simpler.
Imitor: underrated multitap delay plugin.
Librae: I rarely use this for more straightforward compression purposes, but a bit of soft drive on the sides sometimes does wonders to bring out the stereo image.
Not so hidden:
Bitwig Pitch Shifter: used less for pitch shifting than granular disruption of something to get a different texture.
Velvet Machine: can sound good as an effect, but can also clean up clicks and unwanted grindy/scratchy sounds if you host it inside a multiband splitter (I like ZPlane Peel for that).
(Wavesfactory) Cassette: I have also used this at times to smooth out unwanted ugly distortion by replacing it with nice tape saturation/distortion. A lot of my recordings have this applied to the tail, fading in the wet/dry mix as the sound fades out.

Michaelangelo is so crazy good for mastering. The inclusion of the dynamic EQ controls really put it over the top.Ploki wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 3:07 pm Tone Projects Michelangelo
i'm generally Pro-Q3 "all EQs sound the same" guy
but this thing is like "Vegeta" on mixes
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegeta_(condiment)
There are millions of EQs out there, but there's something really special about this one that I can't quite put into words.

Reviver with Reaper or DDMF oversampling is very good.MogwaiBoy wrote: Sat Jan 27, 2024 3:04 am Here's a couple...

Wasn't the Overtone plug a channel strip that had a compressor in it??

I’m not French and I’m having trouble working out how slathering msg on a mix is improving it.Monsieur_FyP wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 9:10 pmI'm French: we don't kid about gastronomy here!Ploki wrote: Fri Jan 26, 2024 8:29 pmWhat did u say about vegeta boiii

So curious what makes this a gem? I'm thinking of buying it but not sure there was anything really all that special about it since I haven't had a lot of time with the RE demo.

Nope, never seen it for sale here. I do have this, though, which I think is similar

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."
