The only vegeta I've ever heard of is the Dragonball Z character with weird-ass hair (I never watched the show, so I don't know what his deal is).

So curious what makes this a gem? I'm thinking of buying it but not sure there was anything really all that special about it since I haven't had a lot of time with the RE demo.

- Lots of control over the taps (number, timing, dynamics, panning) without it feeling overly fiddly, assisted by a pretty nice visualizer. With Time Warp and the tap enable/disable checkboxes you can get swinging repeats if you want, or with a high number of taps to get non-metallic reverbs.
- Extra processing of the feedback loop (distortion, tone, shimmer and "doom" which is octave-down with filtering and chorusing)
- Clever modulation of tap times -- "dance" modulates the LFO rate randomly/differently for each tap and "stereo" offsets the LFO phase for L and R. The combination is well suited for chorus/flanger and modulated reverb effects...
- Built-in additional modulation -- assign some flexible LFOs to tone, angle, etc., envelope follower for ducking or assigned to distortion or even number of taps, etc.

Really appreciate this a lot! Helps me know what to look for. The rack extension version seems really limited by comparison. It doesn't have randomization or any visualization.

A gem both as a synth and an effect: Objekt physical modelling synth.

You need to have the reason rack plugin to host it, that's why it is hidden, but this thing is an absolute killer gem without any doubt.

It is eating all the other physical modelling synth for breakfast..... Everyday.
And you can use any other sound as exciter so I let you do the math....

No and that's a miss I guess.

That being said, the devices included in the core reason are very good and you will probably have fun with them. On the flip side they have their equivalent outside reason world and you probably have them.
For example Europa, while being very good, mixes features of both vital and serum. Most of us already have them.
Grain is a bit more interresting for me with a mix of spectral and granular synthesis.
RRP is quite light on CPU contrary to what you may expect.

That being said, the devices ... contrary to what you may expect.

That's a bummer but it's how Reason Studio operates. I'd really like to use Objekt but not so much to buy (upgrade) Reason. Same with Sculpture (and Alchemy v2, although that seems to be stalled out), would like to use it but not enough to buy a Mac, buy Logic. (At one point i almost did that so i could use Metasynth).

One is a $100-200 investment with zero compromise, the other is a $1,000-3,000 investment that would require you change everything. I recommend getting the Mac.

Haha, thanks for that solid advice. $199 to upgrade from my ancient copy of Reason.
A few years ago i would do this without a second thought. It is tempting as i did like Reason for some reasons (sorry). The other option isn't gonna happen even if i suddenly can afford it, for many reasons (sorry, again).
