It does - it's called Automator but I can't get my head round it - too complicated

Yeah, the windows Task Scheduler took some concentration to learn also.
I guess, basically it's Create and Event, then type in the conditions of the event. It will want the path to the executable[.exe in windows].
It may be simpler then you think if you take it slow...but, coming off mirtazapine[remeron] it could take some time before your brain functions properly again...so everything may seem overwhelming for awhile.

Happy to hear that. :D Yes, it would be 5 in the morn GMT.

Now that you have a working net radio scheduler, have a peek at these radio shows if you wish;

Oh well stupid recorder didn't record - for some reason Apple Calendar have hidden away the interface for opening a file in the latest version so it's different to how it looks in the tutorial I used but although I did manage to find it and thought I had set it right it doesn't seem to have saved that properly so all the damn thing did was wake me up at 5 in the morning to tell me it was recording but it didn't activate the bloody automation file (so completely defeating its purpose). Not too bothered though, I think the 7 hour studio one is better anyway, I suspect the live one would not be much use as it gets interrupted every hour and will be full of people coughing.

That sucks...but yes, the Rich studio version was pretty good. I record two, three or maybe more streaming radio shows a week to listen to later and shit still goes wrong sometimes. The Rich recording last night only recorded 6hrs 51mins and a second file of 2mins even though I set it up for a full 480mins. Well 7hrs will have to due, hahaha.
Yeah, Rich spoke at the beginning,(maybe you heard that) nonsensical gibberish about sleep and dreaming. That went on and on.They had some annoying technical glitches in the audio early on and yes, the DJ breaking in every hr, even though not too disturbing. I slept well last night, with the advantage of listening from my bedroom hi-fi receiver. Can't say I dreamed about unicorns or fairy princesses...I think I was in a factory of some sort...anyway, no trouble for me to get the file to you, just 376mb.

The DJ breaking in every hour is just stupid

Your not in the US? Here, it's a law held by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). There are so many broadcast entities we need to keep account of them and their broadcast habits so they don't impinge on other entities. So...they need to identify themselves on the hr or get fined.
I like it. It comes in handy when you don't know what station you have tuned into.
The DJ will use this opportunity to list the songs he's played. For the Rich concert, I have an mp3 editor, so no prob editing them out if I wish to.

They could just send a digital identifier these days, no need to actually talk over something that requires silence, do they do the same for Operas and classical concerts? Seriously if they did that in the UK people would be up in arms - it's musical vandalism.

It's not a big deal. All they need to say is their call letters "WXPN" and location "Philadelphia".
We don't have live concerts...operas and so on broadcast often here. We are barbaric I guess?

Maybe that's why? Someone needs to campaign for free silence as well as free speech :)

Well, for argument sake, it would be the commercials(adverts) that disturb me about any broadcast interruption. I listen to one radio station 95% of the time and that's a college non-commercial station.(WPRB Princeton) WXPN I listen to for 'Stars End' each week. Network TV only needs to show a little translucent station id in the bottom corner in order to comply.

TV adverts are the most annoying things. I think 10mins per hr minimum is taken by TV adverts.
They make me sad seeing just how stupid ppl actually are,(the market majority).
EDIT - Oh I forgot to mention...we Americans recently(a few yrs back) got our Government to stop the loudness war with TV adverts. Adverts used to be at least twice as loud as the actual TV program! You'd be watching a program and then POW! someone would yell at you concerning your hemorrhoids. Now those assholes have been quieted.
