This is one which i don't regret my purchase! A great tool, very convenient and easy to get good results. (easy to over do it also...)
Go and get it!

Ya, I'm leaning that way...just want to hear the word on the street...
I know sometimes people are reluctant to discuss the pitfalls of their purchases but it's the best way to find out if you can accept those things or not when you are actually using it.

That's one of my best purchases beside Voxengo stuff and PSP_VintageWarmer. I have it since version 1. Totally stable.
I think there's a demo on iZotope's page, best to try it (I think you will like it).
The free Ozone-mastering manual is one of the best lectures about mastering I've found so far.
iZotope offers also great support if you have a problem.

Huh? What exactly could bet better??? Could you get a little more precise? What's wrong with the limiter???
It's got to be one of the best and most comprehensive mastering tools out there, at an astonishing price. Even the computer/electonic music magazines sing it's praises, even though they are getting about zilch for advertising from iZotope. Just be aware that you can't just throw it on your mix and hope that will make it shine. Start with a preset, but then use your ears and tweak.

Disadvantages? Unless you have a really powerful setup, you're probably not going to be able to use it on individual channels. But for mastering it's superb!

Hey guys,,
Thx for the replies...
...one question. Is it strictly a mastering tool or what?

Hit me. I use it on tracks too. :D
The only limitation is: Quite high CPU-usage.

Maybe you can use it to cook pizza :hihi: but the main purpose of it is to be a mastering tool

Also Huh?

I think you can do a wonderful job with the mb comb and i didn't find a better "transparent" limiter yet.

For me it is also one of my best purchases of 2004.
The interface is great, the sound is superb and the price is good considering the quality.
There are a lot of presets that give you out of the box solutions, but if you want to do more tweaking, there is a very comprehensive mastering guide that helps you learn all the functionnalities of the tool.

Try the demo and it will not take you long to be convinced.

On the down side, it does use a lot of CPU and because of this I pnly use it as a mastering tool.

I've bought Ozone 3 a couple of weeks ago and I really like it a lot. There's always a preset that takes your mix a lot further, still you can tweak every little thing as you please.

I think it's a big advantage that Ozone is an all-in-one mastering solution - the different modules work together seamlessly.

As for the limiter - I also tend to turn Ozone's limiter off and use Voxengo's Elephant2 after Ozone. But I really couldn't say if the limiter's not that good or it's just me finding it easier to get convincing results with Elephant2.

All in all, as others have said, one purchase you won't regret.
