I'm not trying to be greedy either.

The Sennheiser guy told me that most their models do require soldering, so I just repeated what he said.
If it's a simple plug&play job I expect Manc Chris to ba perfectly capable of doing it himself.

It *was* his idea to swap phones for the job. I haven't twisted any arms. Don't want to come across as some kind of unreasonable asshole here. I'm honestly just trying to help...

I have switched cables on my 580's twice (they started crackling because of bad cable-seating or something). It's the same type of connection that the 535's have. this is a common procedure and I doubt sennheiser charge all that much for it. mine were switched out for free since they were quite new.

If he still wants to do that deal, why not.

Haydnx. Thanks for the offer, would be easier to do this in Manc, but Hov has already done some groundwork on this, so he obviously deserves the phones.

Hey guys - I just wanted to let everybody know that this deal went well in the end. A set of phones arrived in the mail today. It'll be a long day at work until I can try them out tonight.
