Ha!punkrockdude wrote:That is the sound I am looking for in a real amp. So, if this emulation will sound that way, I will for sure try it out and think about buying it.championrabbit wrote:Sounds like a hair-metal amp from 1986 with no evidence of dynamics at all.
Is that the kind've sound that people are after?
Egg on my face!!

Actually, the amp itself is ready since quite a while now.
But no webpage, no manual is done so far...
Then we are working on something never done before in any VST.
Basicaly thats why it took and takes so long.
But I really wanted that thing to work right !
Finally we had it working, more than less, last week for the first time.
Anyway, in the end you will see that the long wait was not for nothing.

Hi Midiworks,
just to say I think your new sound clip sounds very good. It is more organic then any other guitar ampsim I have heard (most of them are full of nasty digital harshness).

I agree..... Now I hope it will be out before Amplitube2 because if Amplitube2 will sound just a little better the Amplitube1 I am planing on buying it unless I get a chance to play with something better.Lunch Money wrote:Sounded an awful lot like a guy playing an amp with a mic stuck in front of it.

Since this is al pretty subjective, it's not a question of 'wtf I'm talking about' really, it is?Lunch Money wrote:Championrabbit doesn't know wtf he's talking about. Those were some great tones going on there. Sounded an awful lot like a guy playing an amp with a mic stuck in front of it.

If it quacks like a duck....? Is there ANY
hard evidence to prove otherwise?

I could say that a kazoo played in front of a tin can sounds better to me than a Les Paul through a Marshall Plexi stack, and you couldn't argue with me because "it's all subjective." But within that subjective realm, there are certain points that can be agreed upon, and by you saying that the example tone was horrendous (look up the word "hypocricy" if you want to split hairs about subjective opinions, by the way), you proved to me at least that you still have a bit to learn about realistic guitar tone. Chances are good that the tones that you think are realistic or good are actually quite processed and produced.championrabbit wrote:Since this is al pretty subjective, it's not a question of 'wtf I'm talking about' really, it is?
