I will reveal more and more as well as play some examples in this thread. It's good to have a secret product once in a while around here.

Just having some fun here. We have a new product coming that hasn't been announced. It is a library from Sonic Reality. It will support a wide variety of formats including EXS24, GarageBand, Project 5, Mach 5, HALion 3, Kontakt 2, Reason, ST and more. It's extremely useful for sequencing, songwriting and getting chicks (okay, maybe not the last part... and no offense to the "chicks" either. JK). It's not a capsule. It's not a plug-in. But, it does have a pan flute.
It's coming real soon too. In fact, we're not even going to officially announce it until it is shipping and we might even start the launch with a group buy. I am not even sure if this product will be available in stores. Probably just www.esoundz.com but we'll see.

It's not an ethnic library but we are about to release a lot of ethnic sounds for download on www.esoundz.com This library will have a decent variety of ethnic sounds in it though. It also has... hmmm, I better save the info for another day.

pan flute fine, just spare me the skin flute
i was just recording a great flutist last week. she was so good I could make a whole library out of her as she plays all sorts of ethnic flutes. she once did a duet with Ian Anderson!
well anyways i cant guess what this product will be. i know it's going to be good though.

I know this one... It's the "Jerome-a-phone". A Jerome Benton simulator!
Jerome Benton, for those who don't know, was in the band The Time (The Revolution's nemesis in Purple Rain). He was the guy who held the mirror and danced while Morris Day looked into the mirror, sang, and danced. If Morris needed a comb, Jerome was RIGHT THERE with a comb for him. Now we finally have a VST version! Yay, Squids. Yay humanity!!!
Not sure where the pan flute enters into this...

The only thing I can think of that has a pan flute in it would be... a GM library?

It also has a nice variety of.... oh never mind.
Tunes, class act Mr. Skin. As for Ian Anderson... didn't even knew you knew who he was! Impressive.

I reckon it's the new SR sampled kitchen ("cooking up tunes "). The pan flute reference is designed to throw us off the scent - the pan is a frying pan and the flute is a loaf of bread (like a baguette but thicker for those who don't know). It also include samples of both cheese and nutmeg graters, both plastic and metal potato mashers, a tea strainer (only in the UK version - I don't know any other country that uses loose leaf tea) and for the dinner aftermath the original hoover sound.

either that or it's theme based on mythology - pan's flute, Orpheus' harp, the devils stratocaster (they say he has the finest tunes and his amp goes up to 11) and plenty of Alanis Morisette samples (see the film DOGMA)
