another vocal question

How do i make my vocals, so i can raise the pitch of the sound without playing it faster, for instance...if you know scooter, they raise their female vocals an octave so it sounds really chipmunky, how do they do that while still keeping it in tempo? software programs? thanx a lot

FWIW I have both choir-boy and clone ensemble, each are quite different...I have yet to officially use choir boy in something, but in my last song (the whisper) I used clone ensemble fot the whispered parts...
@ the price they each are and the fact that decabuddy vst seems to be no more I think it's worth having both....if I had to chose between the two likely I would choose choir boy for the midi...
