All about Compressors

Silly people. Have you never heard of endoprphin/dominion? Dominion is a dream for drums. I don't think you could technically call it a compresser (in the sense of what most people expect in one). Dominion works miracle for those whose genres focus on things such as hip hop. It's perfect for my needs. dominion/endorphin all the way!!!

He now works for/with Samplitude/Sequoia

Dominion is indeed not a compressor but a totally different thing...

Endorphin is a dual-band compressor - imo Blockfish (which has been mentioned about five thousand times in this thread) is better for drums than Endorphin...

howdy folks, i got my new computer yesterday yey

I am trying to emulate the sound that bManic got with his all tube compressor

this is the file that i tried to emulate

I won't mention which compressor it is until I Get some feedback as to whether you think it sounds similar / analog or not

Good example mate! I'd say it's very close in compression but a bit different in tone and there are still some artefacts that sound a bit 'blockish' and hard somehow (notably the snare just before 0:07 in the file). If you compare it carefully to the original you'll notice the difference here.

lol thanks bManic yep, I know what you mean,t here is a slightly digital sound there which your example doesn't have. I used the Kjaerhus GCO-1 on that one btw
