Someone said above that they are not fussed with FL6's FX...well they can be improved by plugins also, but I think the FX are fine.
that wasn't my point. point is that i hope those FX weren't much a priority during the development of FL6 - because I do want to use FL, but only if it stops annoying the heck out of me. multiple midi ins is one step in the right direction, for sure.

something i really love about FL is the recording of GUI movements - in that it really exceeds, because it doesn't need any assigning CC's as in eXT or additional setup as in audiomulch...

when it comes down to it, in a lot of situations maybe it has become the user's responsibility to make clear decisions as to what role their/each host plays in their creative process.

maybe assigning 'roles' to my hosts will make things easier. FL for loops and gui-rec stuff, audiomulch as a sculpting instrument, eXT for crazy midi...
i am in the process of figuring these things out for myself, right now. i want to settle in, finally, so to speak. :)

This also applies to instruments.
which five (or more) did you try?
Cubase SX
Logic Pro
Sonar
Ableton Live
eXT
Project 5 V2
Digital Performer

I'm mainly using Live and Logic now but I could pretty happily use any of the above.
