I'll tell you where they can stick their dongle: <well, you allready know...>
There's no way I'm using a dongle live, period.
For the very same reason I'm not using Logic or Cubase live either - which is bad enough allready, but a product aiming at live useage (I mean, they got that controller...) defenitely shouldn't use a dongle.

they updated their webpage now. my new guess would be:
1. another announcement at NAMM 2006, followed by the final release at musikmesse 2006. (april) .. wonderful! :)

At the earliest, or it might be summer Namm '06...

Over 100 pages...and it's no closer to the Fall 2006 release. Thank goodness for hardware.

I'm already half in mind to sell AT2 when I finally get it, just as a f**k you to the company. Although I guess they get the final "f**k you" with the $99 transfer charge.

$99 to open up a database and change some entries!

I'm not... I got my Vox Valvetronix and my Pod 2.0 ... I'm happy as larry... if IK hadn't been f**king around, I'd actually be quite excited about their product.. but.. no audio demo's... nothing... nadda... that's bullshit.

.. but then again it´s their tradition: remember the announcement of their bass plugin? ampeg something?
or their promise to release Amplitube LE as an AU?
if they don´t learn it´s their fault, not the one of moaning users like me ..

If you don't register it then you shouldn't have to pay a transfer fee.

The sad thing is that a lot of people have bought AT1 just to have AT2 when (if) it's released. They have paid money for something that, as far as I'm concerned, is vaporware. Shabby business on IK's part me thinks.

It's not my nature to pile on in these kind of things, but I must say that as someone who is involved in marketing IK's marketing strategy and communications plan simply mystifies me...

I have heard rumors that Native Instruments actually gave considerable amount of money to IK Multimedia to prolong release of Amplitube 2. They were so afraid when they have seen this girl with guitar... It was only way for them to sell some Guitar Rigs to people thet would buy Amplitube 2 instead. Off course, NI won't make any money this way, but their coding honour is intact :hihi: :D

That's what you get with one coder and a very very enthusiastic marketing team.
