Way to go, ImageLine!!

The price of XXL academic version (at www.academicsuperstore.com) increased by $100 to $230. I got in at the $130 price (+$30 for unlimited updates). I was thinking of gifting my two young cousins FL6 XXL for Christmas (they go to school and are hence eligible), but I think I'll gift them the H2O versions instead.

the xxl version is ridiculously priced anyway. I dont know where they pulled the systrus price from, considering the price of Toxic...

Especially from the makers of the most costly efficient studio out there...

Systrus doesn't exist. Sytrus' is between FM7's and Rhino's. Toxic's price reflects its feature set.

ok.. bring it back a second.. rewind. you're saying that because there was a price increase of 100 dollars on FL you're opting to send cracked copies of it instead as gifts??

hmm.. perhaps I'm alone in this, however from your statements I get the impression you're

a) not thinking straight
and
b) incredibly cheap - who gives cracked software as Christmas gifts?

why not just get them the producer version instead? if they're inexperienced in music making I'm sure it will be far more than they'll need to make some noise....

Sytrus does more than Toxic, but it doesnt have 3 times the "feature set" of Toxic, not to mention that Toxic sounds WAY better at the core, imo.

For the record, yeah, I was joking about the warez copies. VitaminD, you are either a very daft punk, or just simply being a jackass. Either way, kindly STFU.

But I was NOT joking about the price increase. A few days ago, the v5 XXL was $130 at acadsuperstore... and if you go there now, you'll see it at $230. This is insane. I was thinking of gifting my cousins FL5 XXL (and then FL6 update for $29); I have $350-odd in cash. Now I can no longer do that. I don't want to give them the producer version because they like Simsynth and Sytrus (They use their Dad's copy atm).

Way to go, IL!! You just lost $320 of my money!
