A stereo beatbox?

I was wondering if Muon would consider doing a stereo SR202?

I mean it is ok and all about loading mono samples in the 202, but sometimes I need to be able to use my stereo samples.

I search the net and so far the 202 is the best beatbox by far. All I want is to do is to be able to use stereo wavs in my all time favourite vsti!

Right, as I load up me 404 with me fave drum kit, I wonder why I need to use such a beast when the 202 would do....if only it could use...

Not free but at 50 bucks, sure it great value for money.

Loads and automatically slices loops, which then automatically play at the song tempo when triggered (what!!)

When you load in a loop, you will have a menu option to "slice" up the loop into individual beats. Once this is done, Neutron can assign each beat of the loop to a MIDI note, and you can play the beats back yourself (using an exported MIDI file containing the groove information, which you can edit in your sequencer) OR you can simply assign the whole loop to just one key and Neutron will automatically sync the loop to the beat of your tune.

Velocity layering (in a b box?...wait...phrase sampler)

This is pretty important for folks that like to use acoustic drums. You can set up velocity zones within a pad so that you can play different samples depending on how hard the key is hit.

Improved filters (how?!)

SR202 only has lowpass and highpass filters. Neutron will have the same filter capabilities as DS404 (10 types). The preview graphics don't show this, by the way, and nor do they show the additional menus etc. either at this time.

Moun....so basically we will be getting a 202 with much of the capabilities of the 404 but without having to setup zones and patches etc..

I like the recycle a like functions but do you get to fine tune the points within Neutron as you do with recycle? Sometimes even recycle misses and I have to manually enter the right data.

Does Neutron use the same technology as recycle when you use a loop assigned to one key or is it timestretching?

Yes, you'll be able to fine tune slice markers, delete them, add new ones etc.

Neutron will simply play the slices back with the appropriate timing (in sync mode) or when you trigger them from the keyboard (in mapped mode). You can, if you want to, tune the slices up or down so they fit the new tempo a bit better, but there is definately no time-stretching or anything like that built in.

Neutron looks sleek & sexy, but I was wondering if it's going to have tempo-stretched reverse for each hit. Phatmatik Pro does reverse, but it can't stretch each hit so it swells just right when trying to get that "on the fly" reverse crash or snare sound. I'm still waiting for a company to come out with a beatslicer VSTi that does reversal right for us breakz/D&B producers.
