now, I hate country music for the most part, but this song, for some reason, has some sort of sentimental value to a friends parents, and we're gonna do it for their 25th anniversary.

I think this is the song "Danny's Song".

I remember Anne Murray singing it but it may have been written by Kenny Loggins.
